Changed 4 Good
Changed 4 Good quartet combined voices as a registered quartet in 2015.  We have competed in 4 regional competitions winning the audience choice award twice!  Our members include Angela Villemarette-lead, Sue Englebert-bass, Tina Kneisler-baritone, and Patty Nance-tenor.  All singers are seasoned members of the Crescent City Sound Chorus in New Orleans, Louisiana and Tina is a dual member with Top of the Rock Chorus in Little Rock, AR. Although our backgrounds vary from music to medical science to engineering and finance, music brings us together in the love of harmony and song.  Changed 4 Good enjoys teaching a cappella harmony to students of all ages.  We have taught classes through the Girl Scouts of America and also at the University of New Orleans and Loyola.  Sharing our music is what we are all about!

Toulouse
Anne Cafiero, Tenor — was involved in music throughout her high school career. She played percussion in the school orchestra.  She was a member of the hand bell choir, vocal choir, and played guitar and piano. Anne had been looking for a chorus and was introduced to us by a CCSC member, Sheryl York.  She and her husband Shafin live in Lakeview.

Cassie Schmidt,  Lead - Cassie is a full-time music director and choral conductor in New Orleans. Hailing from sunny Southern California, she received her B.A. in Choral Music from USC in 2017 (Fight On!), and completed her M.M. in Choral Conducting at LSU in 2019 (Geaux Tigers!).  Since planting roots in NOLA, Cassie has been teaching lower, middle, and upper school music and choir at the Louise S. McGehee School. She is an avid member and leader of the American Choral Director’s Association, currently holding the state chapter position of Vocal Jazz Repertoire & Resources Chair for LA-ACDA.  Cassie resides in Uptown New Orleans.

Katherine McCaslin, Bari — her music life includes an early start at the piano. In high school she joined a coed chorus and later she sang in two elite choruses. She also sang in a faculty chorus for three years when she began teaching. Katherine moved to New Orleans from Massachusetts in 2010 and joined CCSC in 2015 through her coworker (and current tenor!) Anne Cafiero. Katherine lives in Newburyport, Massachusetts with her dog, Petey, and teaches pre-school.

Beth Sacco, Bass joined CCSC in the Spring of 2013 after being recruited by Debbie Mora.  From the moment she walked into rehearsal, she knew she had to become a part of the chorus.   Beth hadn’t had piano lessons or performed in recitals since high school.  But her love of music had never left her and CCSC once again gave her an outlet to perform.   “I am happy to have found Crescent City Sound at the perfect time in my life – performing with this wonderful group of ladies brings me such joy and happiness.”  Beth lives in Metairie with her husband, Teddy, and has 2 daughters and a son.

Mosaic

A mosaic is made up of individual pieces which alone may be pretty but together create a beautiful multidimensional masterpiece. In the same way Mosaic is made up of four unique ladies, each with beauty, heart, and talent. Emily Lapouble sings tenor and is a music teacher at Arden Cahill Academy. She is part of the directing team of the Crescent City Sound chorus.  She is our shepherdess and is always looking out for the well-being of others.  Donna Oliver sings bass and teaches at the Holy Name of Jesus school.  Donna is also a member of the directing team of the chorus.  She has a velvety smooth bass voice and an impeccable ear.  Robin Stead sings baritone and works at Tulane University. Robin is the smart one in this group!  She is true to her baritone part by keeping the quartet organized with schedules and finances.  Her voice fits in perfectly with the rest of the quartet, always finding that note in the middle of nowhere.  With a great foundation like this all you need is a lead to sing the melody.  That’s where Jill Harsch comes in.  Jill works from her home for The Strickland Group.  Her voice is the perfect compliment to rest of the quartet.  When these four ladies come together, they make beautiful music!
