Bio/Profile
Sandra moved to Houma in 1970, and someone told her about a group forming. She had never heard of Sweet Adeline’s. She did know about men’s barbershop groups. So she decided to go. They scraped together the needed number of members, and a year later chartered Bayouside Chorus! Everything was going great…until the director moved. She then went to New Orleans, then Baton Rouge, and back to New Orleans…and here she is today. Sandra’s hobbies include gardening, bird watching, and reading. She belongs to civic groups such as TVFC, KKI- teachers organization, retired teachers, and Literary Club. Sandra taught elementary school for 30 years. Sandra’s motto is, “Life is an adventure!”
